Both agreed to seek solutions aimed at further improving the port’s operation and the service of passengers and the development of its cruise potential.

Also discussed were ways to enrich the area’s tourism offerings with new thematic tourism products and experiences combined with a visit to Ancient Olympia and the local shops.

Kountoura and Varouksis also referred to promoting Pyrgos as a stopover tourism destination to attract more cruise visitors and this way help contribute to the economic and development of the local communities.
